AdaptLaw Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 8, 2026 Last Updated: February 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AdaptLaw ("the Service"), available at adaptlaw.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Your continued use of AdaptLaw constitutes acceptance of any future modifications to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

AdaptLaw is an AI-assisted legal information platform that provides constitutional-first analysis powered by a verified legal knowledge graph containing 29,000+ legal concepts and 57,000+ relationships. The Service includes:

  • Constitutional-First Analysis -- Every legal question is analyzed through the U.S. Constitution first, then statutes, then case law.
  • Knowledge Graph Search -- Search a verified graph of legal concepts including cases, statutes, amendments, doctrines, maxims, principles, tests, and rights.
  • Source Toggles -- Enable or disable specific legal source categories to focus your research.
  • Multi-Model AI Support -- Analysis powered by Gemini, Claude, or GPT-4o depending on your subscription tier.
  • Document Upload -- Upload PDF, DOCX, or TXT documents for constitutional analysis (Pro and Developer tiers).
  • Chat Persistence -- Save and revisit your analysis conversations.
  • BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) -- Use your own AI provider API keys (Pro and Developer tiers).
  • API Access -- Programmatic access to the analysis engine (Developer tier).

3. NOT LEGAL ADVICE

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SECTION OF THESE TERMS. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

AdaptLaw is NOT a law firm. AdaptLaw is NOT a lawyer. AdaptLaw does NOT provide legal services.

  • No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of AdaptLaw. No privilege, confidentiality, or fiduciary duty arises from using the Service.
  • AI analysis may contain errors, omissions, hallucinations, or outdated information. Large language models can generate plausible-sounding but incorrect legal analysis.
  • "VERIFIED" means the citation was confirmed to exist in the AdaptLaw knowledge graph. It does NOT mean the legal analysis, interpretation, or conclusion is guaranteed correct, current, or applicable to your situation.
  • You MUST independently verify all information provided by AdaptLaw with a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before relying on it for any legal decision, action, or proceeding.
  • AdaptLaw is not liable for any decisions, actions, or outcomes resulting from reliance on its analysis. You use AdaptLaw at your own risk.
  • For any real legal matter, including but not limited to litigation, contracts, criminal defense, regulatory compliance, or business decisions with legal implications, consult an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.

AdaptLaw is a legal research and information tool. It is designed to help you understand legal concepts, explore constitutional frameworks, and organize legal research. It is not a substitute for professional legal counsel.
